The Valley Valley Landscape Park was created in 1981. It was located in the area of seven communes: Słupsk, Dębnica Kaszubska, Kobylnica, Kołczygłowy, Bytów, Czarna Dąbrówka, and Borzytuchom. It has an area of 37 040 ha and is located in the area of the middle and lower reaches of the Słupia River and its catchment. The forest community includes pine and mixed coniferous forest and swamp forest. A large area is covered by lowland beech forests: sour and fertile, oak-hornbeam, alluvial forests and willow thickets. Peat bogs are created in places where underground water flows intensively. The picturesque landscape is complemented by numerous lakes of various sizes, shapes and origins.
The Gołubieński Botanical Garden was established in 1971-1983. in the area of over 2 ha. It is located in the Kashubian National Park, on the route of the Szymbarskie Hills tourist trail. It is situated on flat terrain and a slope with a northern exhibition. We will find here about 5,500 taxa of vascular plants that come from around the world. Among them there are about 191 protected species (including Carlina onopordifolia, Cochlearia polonica, Cochlearia tatrae, Cypripedium calceolus, Dendranthema zawadzkii, Dianthus nitidus, Erysimum pieninicum, Ligularia sibirica, Luronium natans, Marsilea quadrifensica, Pulsatensica, Pulsatensia natans, Trapa natans).
Plant collections are divided into five sections: organic, ornamental plants, medicinal plants, arboretum and tree plantings.
