Address: ul. Jana Uphagena 23 , 80-237 Gdańsk

A brick, two-storey, free-standing building, covered with a mansandro roof with stylish windows. It was built by Patschke Rudolf (merchant and commercial counselor), who at the beginning of the century was one of the wealthiest Gdańsk residents. The building, abandoned by the Hebrew owners, was taken over by the Nazis in the 1930s, the British Consulate stayed there immediately after the war, and from 1948 it housed the headquarters of Radio Gdańsk. Then it was taken over and renovated by the Gdańsk Business Club. It impresses with such elements of equipment as: majolica from Kadyn on the walls, marbles on fireplaces, original stucco, stained glass and a fascinating staircase. Currently, it is the place of the "Villa Uphagena" restaurant officially opened in 2005. For less than three years of operation, the restaurant had the honor of hosting outstanding personalities known around the world, such as: - Lech Walesa - Prince of Monaco Albert II, - Jeane Michael Jarre, - David John Gilmour - Pink Floyd - Jan Peter Balkenende - Prime Minister of the Netherlands - Krystyna Janda - Prime Minister Jerzy Buzek and many others.
