The museum is located in the Przebendowski Palace, a neo-Gothic building erected around 1800. The collection of the Wejherowo Museum is a rich library, which includes the most valuable literary monuments of Kashubian culture, including first editions and subsequent editions of Kashubian literary works, the first scientific studies in the Kashubian language, translations of religious texts, including fragments of the Holy Bible, Kashubian regional magazines, etc. They are accompanied by books and newspapers published in Pomerania in various languages, primarily Polish and German, as well as publications appearing in other regions of the country and abroad if they concern the culture, history of Kashubia and Pomerania. In addition to the manuscripts, legacies contain a wide variety of souvenirs of Kashubian-Pomeranian activists and writers, personal documents, family documents and other monuments of material culture.
