At the beginning of the 20th century, Jelitkowo was merged with Oliwa, thanks to which the settlement changed into a swimming pool. In 1907, the Spa House was established together with the Spa Park, which contained a pond with the nearest areas. Tram connections with Wrzeszcz, the center of Gdańsk, the construction of bathrooms and piers contributed to the increase in Jelitków's popularity among tourists and residents. In 1922, the swimming pool was visited by some 65,000 guests. During the war, the pier and bathrooms were destroyed. The Spa House survived at ul. Pomorska, a complex of former fishing houses and a beautiful park with valuable areas for walking. It is worth visiting this part of the city to feel the seaside style.
