The Gdańsk pier was built at the end of the 19th century. At the beginning it was 100 meters long, and then they were extended by another 115. Before World War I, the pier could be reached by a tram that stopped directly at it. The pier was dismantled twice. During the First World War. After its completion in 1929, the building was rebuilt, which was destroyed for the second time during World War II. It was not until 1993-1996 that the pier in Brzeźno was built. It is 149 meters long. In general, the pier is neglected. This is evidenced by the beams supporting the structures that repel advanced corrosion. The part of the pier that may constitute the mooring harbor is closed. For this reason, it is polluted by birds, and in particular by seagulls.
